About Chaowen
Conductor Chaowen Ting has been cited for “stylish and clear” musical direction in opera, orchestral and chamber works. The Atlanta-based Taiwan native has delighted audiences with her brilliant musical approach while recognized for her empathic leadership and advocacy for equity within the music industry.
Ting currently conducts the Georgia Tech Symphony, NANOWorks Opera, and Peabody Youth Orchestra, and appears this season with Opera Orlando, South Carolina Philharmonic, Atlanta Opera and Allentown Symphony.
A past recipient of the Bruno Walter Memorial Fellowship, Ting earned her DMA from Eastman and is an alum of The Dallas Opera Hart Institute for Women Conductors.
Ting is dedicated to inclusivity in classical music, working with initiatives The ADORE Project, Girls Who Conduct and hosts The Conductor’s Podcast.
